Active licenses only. Suspended licensees are never listed, and neither are Registered Accountants, who hold the certificate but can't offer services to the public.
Where this data comes from
Every listing is built from the Michigan Board of Accountancy's public roster of licensees, as of September 14, 2026. From it we publish each CPA's name, city, county, license number, and the dates the license was issued and expires — never a street address, email, or phone number. So this directory tells you who holds an active license rather than what they charge.
We publish only the 11,388 licensees whose license is active and who are based in Michigan. Another 2090 active licensees have an address outside the state; they are listed separately. Michigan's 4850 Registered Accountants hold the CPA certificate but may not offer services to the public, so they are counted here and not listed.
